F.A.Q.

Am I welcome?
Yes. All are welcome at Zion, regardless of race, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, place in life’s journey, or churchmanship. Zion welcome’s all of God’s children. Although deeply committed to the practice of the Evangelical Catholic faith in the ELCA, Zion maintains ecumenical relations with other Christian churches in the area, and all baptized Christians are welcome to receive communion. The Zion community is comprised of people from all walks of life who wish to grow in love of our Lord, and practice the Catholic faith.

Is Zion a Catholic parish?
While Zion is catholic in the sense that it’s faith and practice follows that of the universal church, Zion has no formal affiliation with the Roman Catholic church. Zion is affiliated with The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, which itself is in full communion with The Episcopal Church and world-wide Anglican Communion.

Where do I park? Is Childcare provided? Where exactly is Coffee Hour?
Parking is available in our lot. Zion is accessible by public transportation via train or bus. Currently, the church does not provide childcare during Mass, but welcomes families with infants and young children to come and participate in the Mass. Coffee Hour is held in the narthex following Mass.
